Johnnie's True Feelings

Johnnie was making Jeff and I throw different colored wiffle balls with him at our bedroom door last night. I know, fun, right? This is a conversation that took place between Jeff and Johnnie.
************************************************

Jeff: What color is this ball?
Johnnie: Red
Jeff: Good job! What color is this ball?
Johnnie: Green!
Jeff: Good job! What color is this ball?
Johnnie: Gross...
Jeff: Um..No, it's actually purple...

Nice To See You Again...

I'm an awful Blogger, I admit it. I promised I would take more pictures and post more often and I failed. I'm sorry. :)
Anywho, here's the belly at 24 weeks. I'm just getting bigger and bigger and I've already gotten comments about my "waddle". Yay for me. In other baby news, everything is going great. I was supposed to have my ultrasound on February 19th but during my first ultrasound they discovered I had complete placenta previa (my placenta is completely covering my cervix and theres more potential for ruptures, hemmoraging, and the need for a c-section) and they wanted to postpone the ultrasound a couple weeks so I'd be farther along to check to see if my placenta would move or not. Needless to say I was not happy with having to wait two more weeks to find out what we were having. Anyone who knows me knows that I was dying to start the nursery not to mention the registry, paint colors and names, of course. Well on March 5th we got to find out what gender our little monkey is. :)

My apologies to anyone who is
sensitive to in utero fetus nudity.
Clearly the little person who's been beating me up from the inside is all boy. Of course the ultrasound technician had to tell us to keep our receipts but I'm pretty convinced. Also, I no longer have placenta previa. Looks like my placenta migrated upwards and it's no where near my cervix. I was very happy to hear that because 1) all the articles I read about complete placenta previa said there was slim chance of it moving and 2) I really do not want to have a c-section. Great news in my opinion.

Another One???

I had an ultrasound today and they changed my due date back to July 9th, so subtract a week from my previous posts. Everything looks good, the baby's heartbeat is at 146 bpm, weighs 5 ounces, and is most likely.....a boy!!! The ultrasound technician wasn't a hundred percent sure because the baby was at a weird angle and still really small. I have another ultrasound scheduled for February 19th now and that will be to determine the gender for sure. But, in my opinion, if it's a boy, it's a boy. Can't really confuse that one. Haha. We'll see though.

The baby wasn't cooperating very well so we only got a few pics of appendages.
Can you see the mini toes? Adorable!

Howdy Y'all!

Johnnie & Kung Fu Panda Cruisin'
Johnnie got this Batman Power Wheels vehicle for Christmas and he loves it so much! He calls it his "motorcycle" and he rides around the house for hours. Ha ha. Its so cute watching him ridin' in and out of rooms. I can't believe he's such a little boy now!
Here's a little video I took after I caught him doing donuts in the kitchen. :)

Just Another Belly Post...

Please ignore the jammies and scraggly hair.
16 weeks
So here we are at 16 weeks. Not much has changed in the pregnancy. I'm getting bigger, he/she's movin' around more, and I'm always exhausted. I've also been very moody, too. Poor Jeff. It's nice that he's a good sport.

One more week until we find out if our baby is a girl or boy. I seriously can't wait. I hope the baby behaves and gives a really good picture. When we had the ultrasound with Johnnie to determine his gender we got a good view of his "parts" but he kept moving his arms and legs and the doctor couldn't get a nice picture of his face. After a few tries he eventually gave up and I ended up with 3 or 4 blurry pics of an already difficult to decipher image. Of course I could tell what everything was though. Its a mommy skill, I think.

In other news, Jeff did get the job with Verizon. He starts Monday. He's a little nervous starting a new job and all, plus the fact that he's going to have to learn how to sell Verizon products, not Sprint anymore. He'll do great, though, and we're all very happy for him. Also, the 25th I get to be a big fat prego Matron of Honor at my best friend Jana's wedding. Yay! Its going to be gorgeous and Jeff's going to have my camera so hopefully he'll take lots of pics for me to post!
